Well-Versed

Towards the end of December, I blogged in earnest about Living Proof Ministries' Scripture Memory ChallengeFirst, the good news.  I'm still memorizing Scripture.  Last week, I began working on Verse 6.  Now, for the bad news.  The cover is about to fall off the spiral notebook in which I so laboriously pasted my Bible Verses.  Yesterday, I picked up a new spiral from the grocery store.

The grocery store closest to the Little Condo on the Prairie is questionable at best - whether you are seeking carrots without mold or scripture memory notebooks - but that's beside the point.  I dutifully chose a small notebook containing perforated 3x5 cards.  The cover was ugly, so I dressed it up a bit.

The theologically-minded amongst you assume I chose the butterfly to correspond to something profound like Dead in Sin, Alive in Christ or the Easter Story - where the chrysallis symbolizes the Tomb in which Jesus' lay (or is it laid or lain?) and the butterfly symbolizes the Resurrection.  Not really.  I keep my card making supplies in four plastic carts on wheels, and had been staring at that butterfly for months wondering what I was going to do with it.  Now I know.
